Welcome to my little slice of the blogosphere :)

02-03: Pilot Revamped

Hi Blog 🙂

By now, I m sure you were expecting an update on me going to CARSA… well… I may have changed my mind on my topic. Instead of focusing on the working out portion of my life, I’ve not switched gears to the cooking and eating portion of my life. I come from a family of avid chefs who enjoy cooking and the cooking process. Over time, I’ve gained that same passion and really enjoy cooking 🙂 The thing is, is that my cooking is not very elaborate in certain cuisines. For example, I really want to learn how to make Indian food and elevate my pedestrian approach to pasta. With school, work, and the craziness that my life brings, I’ve never gotten around to it. To officially begin my food blogging journey, I’m going to start with something a little more tame, and that is a pasta dish made with pest, asparagus, and chives. Besides Indian food, Italian is my second favourite cuisine, and I thought it would be a great way to test out a potential method of recording my cooking videos. I hope to record the process of cooking and trying (?) the dish I made, maybe in a TikTok or YouTube format. I may even bring some special guests out along the way. 🙂 Stay tuned!

Below, you will find the website I’m using for the first recipe as well as a brief list of ingredients needed to make this dish!

Spring Pesto Pasta with Asparagus

The gist of the recipe is in the name, plus a few other ingredients.

  • Pasta
  • Pesto
  • Asparagus
  • Chives
  • Butter
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Spices

This picture is of me and my friend, Lauren, at Cactus Club with some of our favourite dishes to get from there. This picture might be the inspiration for a dish I could re-create in the future. 🙂
